Your first app
An app is files — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images — that Waiso hosts at an address of its own, such as meu-casamento.waisoapps.app. Its buttons and forms call this project’s scripts and flows, so a page and the work behind it live in one place.
- Create an app and choose its address
- Fill it by uploading a site or by asking the assistant
- Preview the draft, publish and restore an earlier version
What an app is
Every app has a draft — the files you change — and, once published, a published version that visitors see. Changing the draft never touches the live app; Publish puts the draft live and keeps the previous version in the history.
There is no drag-and-drop editor: you bring the files (from any tool, a build’s dist/ folder included) or the project assistant writes them for you.

Anything a browser can show, as long as the work behind it is a script or a flow of this project.
Create and publish
- Open Apps
In the project’s sidebar, open Apps and press New app. Give it a name; the address is suggested from it and checked as you type.
- Add the files
Drop a
.zipor a folder on the file list. A zip that wraps everything in one folder is served from that folder. Or ask the assistant: “make a page with our gift list and a form to confirm attendance”. - Look at the preview
The preview beside the code shows the draft exactly as visitors would see it.
- Publish
Press Publish. The address serves the new version within a minute.
Files the address serves
| A visitor opens | Waiso serves |
|---|---|
/ | index.html |
/sobre | sobre, else sobre.html, else sobre/index.html |
| A path that does not exist | Your 404.html if there is one — or index.html when Single-page app is on in Settings |
- Up to 5,000 files; a file’s size limit depends on the plan (see Address, domains and limits).
- Programs for an operating system (
.exe,.sh…) are refused: an app is a web page. - The same file in many versions or many apps is stored once, so versions cost almost no space.
Versions and download
History lists every published version: who, when, how it came (upload, assistant, edited, restored) and what changed. Restore puts a version live again at once — it becomes a new version, so nothing is lost.
Take it with you
Download gives the files as a zip. Hosted anywhere else, the app keeps calling this project’s endpoints — see Call your scripts and flows.
