License and grace mode
A new instance runs fully for 14 days with no license. To keep running, you apply a license bound to that instance; it then checks in once an hour. If it cannot for two days, it enters grace mode — everything stays readable and nothing is deleted, but nothing new runs until a check-in succeeds.
- Read the evaluation countdown and the instance ID
- Apply a license with its check-in key
- Know exactly what grace mode stops and what it keeps
- Count seats: who takes one and who is free
From evaluation to licensed
Settings → Instance license is where the license lives. During the evaluation it says Evaluation — 12 days left. Everything works; apply a license before it ends to keep running. The instance ID is generated on first boot and tied to the installation, not to the hardware; an admin sees it on that screen, with a button to copy it.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Evaluation | The first 14 days after first boot: everything works, no license needed. |
| Licensed | A license is installed and the last check-in is recent. |
| Grace | The evaluation ended with no license, or no check-in succeeded for 2 days. |
Get and apply a license
- Send the instance ID and the seats you need
Copy the instance ID from Settings → Instance license and tell us how many seats your team needs.
- Receive two values
A license token and a check-in key. The key is shown to us once and kept only as a hash on our side.
- Paste both and apply
In Settings → Instance license paste the token and the key and apply. The key is stored encrypted, like every other secret. An online license without its key is refused — This license needs its check-in key.
Check-ins and grace mode
A licensed instance checks in with https://api.waiso.com.br every hour, so it needs outbound HTTPS to that address. Billing shows the Last check-in. When none succeeds for 2 days, the instance enters grace mode:
- Everything stays readable — projects, scripts, flows, results, logs.
- You can still install a license.
- Nothing new runs — not from the editor, schedules, API endpoints or MCP — and nothing saves or publishes.
No data is deleted or withheld, and grace clears itself the moment a check-in succeeds. The same happens when the evaluation ends without a license.
Offline licenses
For networks with no route to the internet, Enterprise can be licensed offline: no check-ins, valid until its expiry date. Billing then reads Offline license — no check-ins.
Seats and pricing
Pricing is per seat, not per run: runs, projects, schedules, concurrency and integrations are unlimited on every tier — Starter, Scale and Enterprise. A seat is any account that can do more than read; read-only people are free and never counted. Billing shows 7 of 10 seats and the free read-only members beside it.
